The Intris is a Scylla Class transport, a varied design from the very common Colonial Mover. The Scylla design allows for easier loading/unloading and more agile flying, but despite the benefits this class is rather rare. Such capabilities were not deemed as essential or worth the increased costs when the simple Colonial Mover design worked perfectly fine.
With the conversion from cargo transport to civilian housing, the Intris is one of the more divided ships in the Fleet. The Crew area (i.e. the actual ship) and the cargo area (i.e. the containers) are not as affixed as they are on a Colonial Mover or a Gemini Freighter. Through Colonial ingenuity, the containers have been made livable but access between the two areas is a bit difficult and the transition is like entering a separate world.
The Intris was among the ships recovered from Foley Field, Aquaria. It is armed with one anti-ship missile launcher for basic defense.
