The Celestial Traveler is a foundry ship and one of the Fleet's dedicated industrial vessels. It was among the original ships gathered at Phoebe during the Fall and has been with the Fleet ever since. The Traveler is a very versatile vessel that serves as the jack-of-all factory of the Fleet. Small orders of specialty items generally are sent here. Most major -non-military repairs are also performed by the crew of the Traveler. These repairs range from fixing transport shuttles to repairing battle-damage on the hulls of other ships; replacing failing FTL drives to replacing critical plumbing components. Anything that cannot be done by a ship's own crew either due to lack of parts or expertise (and isn't given to a military crew) generally finds its way to the Traveler. The Celestial Traveler has also undergone minor upgrades so that it can act as a base from which Vipers cannot only be repair but also launched into combat.
